The flamboyant, dynamic and diverse performers in Ubom! ensure that every show is sure to have you captivated!
Brink Scholtz - Resident Director

Brink joined the company in 2006 and went on to complete her Masters in Directing in 2007. As Resident Director, Brink works to further strengthen Ubom! through vigorous training, group dynamics, skills development and the creation of relevant, accessible works of the highest theatrical calibre.
Thami Baba - Performer
Thami was born and educated in Grahamstown and is a true-blues singer who loves to make music. Thami came out of the 2004 Ubom! theatre Skills Programme and went on to work for Ubom! in a number of capacities. She became a full-time performer/facilitator with the company in 2006 and continues to grow as a dynamic multi-skilled actor and workshop leader.
Luvuyo Yanta - Performer
Born and bred in Grahamstown, Luvuyo was educated at Nathaniel Nyaluza High School where his talent for drama was nurtured by his English teacher. As the most senior member of the company (having been a full-time performer with Ubom! since 2004), Luvuyo is a stalwart within the ensemble who continues to develop his skills as a performer and facilitaor.
Jaques de Silva - Performer
This comical and acrobatic performer first saw Ubom! at the Eastern Cape Schools Festival in 2003, and knew then that he wanted to be part of the team. Jaques believes that Ubom!'s work in the Eastern Cape is essential because it ensures that imaginations are stimulated. Imagination, he believes, is the key to success.
Jennifer Schneeberger - Performer
After completing her Honours in Drama at Rhodes in 2006, Jen was snapped up by Ubom! to be the company manager in 2007. Besides the multiplicity of skills she holds, including design, theatre management and stage management, Jen is also a talented actress and singer. Jen is now a performer with the company and brings a soulful voice and impassioned performance to the stage.
